The Breeze has a solid pink-red blush over a yellow background. It is aromatic and sweet with a very crisp, dense white flesh. It’s a refreshing, tasty snack for both kids and adults alike. Breeze apples, currently grown in New Zealand by Freshco, are harvested at the optimum maturity for a two-week period in the middle of February, and shipped to the United States at the end of March. Their early-April arrival makes them the first offshore apple variety available for consumers. Due to the increasing demand for the Breeze apple, growers have already doubled their production in New Zealand, and now have acreage in Washington as well. Soon, the Breeze apple will be available to retailers year-round.
